We know that life can change quickly due to an accident, illness, aging, or disability. As physical needs change, your living environment may require changes too. That's why we spend time getting to know and understand your family's needs, so we can help you thrive at home.

 

Adaptable Home specializes in creating barrier-free living spaces that work for your whole family and care team. Owner and operator Bruce Grifhorst will get to know your family personally and be fully involved in your home design or modification to make sure all your needs are met. He and the rest of our caring team are passionate about helping you continue to live where you feel most comfortable.

Our Process:
Designed with You in Mind

The Adaptable Home team is here to come alongside your family and meet your needs. Our process allows us to understand your unique situation and create solutions that work best for you.

Home Visit

Before starting any work, we will visit your home to meet you and gather information about your needs. This visit may include our architectural designer, occupational therapist, licensed builder, and home modification coordinator, who all work together to make sure your needs are met.

Detailed Work Proposal

After the home visit, we will submit a complete proposal including the scope of work and cost breakdown for you to review.

Project Implementation

Our team will coordinate all aspects of the project, including equipment selection, construction, etc. We will work hard to accommodate your family’s needs during the whole process. If you need temporary housing during renovations, we have a barrier-free rental home available.

Continued Support

We want to make sure your home continues to work for you far into the future. Our team will offer ongoing support such as basic safety checks, home modification checks, or further services.
